Minutes of Three Lakes Genealogical Society August 24, 2009 1 PM Members present: Pat Frank, Charlene Roberts Sheila Hittman, Roger Block, Bob Curran, Craig Moore, Mary Hitchkock, Robert Killick, Maureen Brand, Frank Meyer, Debby Selman, Mary Ellen Williams, Ann Bruckmoser, Noreen Rossa, Lorene Schertzl, Sandy Thieisen, and Dan and Jean Petras. Guests: Ollie Littleton, Vell and Glenn Moder, Jeri Miller, B.J. Killick, Dave & Jan Hintz, Audrey Meyer, Jackie & Eric Wick, and Judy Renquist. President Charlene Roberts called the meeting to order. Minutes for the July 27, 2009 meeting were reviewed and approved. Treasurer, Ann BruckmoserÕs report was accepted. Old Business: 1. Charlene reviewed the schedule for next year, noting that ÒlockinsÓ to work on individual genealogies will be held in October & January. Mary Hitchcock agreed to retain position of presentation coordinator for 2009-2010 and asked for any program suggestions. Mary noted the 2010 Cemetery Walk will feature 10 historical figures, and all members of the group need to be involved to make it a success Frank Meyer has agreed to portray Carl Marty & Joey Wojtusik will portray Violet Neu Olkowski. 2. Pat Frank agreed to continue as Sunshine Coordinator. 3. Charlene inquired whether we had a historian? The question was deferred to Nancy Brewster. Charlene noted that Nancy will also be coordinator for the interested community members desiring to have help with genealogy research, as 5 members volunteered to assist for an hour or so upon request. 4. Charlene reported that the Wisconsin State Genealogical Society requested an article for their October issue. Charlene prepared article that reflected what was in her recent news article and submitted it. 5. Charlene has updated the SocietyÕs website and welcomes any feedback of what you would like to see on the website. She has updated ÒFind a GraveÓ and is working with the town clerk to make sure data is coordinated. 6. Charlene had one website inquiry this month and was able to help them when they were visiting the area. New Business: None Motion was made by Roger Block and seconded by Frank Meyer to adjorn the meeting. Roger Block presented the program for members & guests, entitled ÒPublish Your Family History: How It Was Done in 7 Days.Ó
